some call it gravel, we call it allroad!

a little bit off the usual routes.

a little bit improvised.

a little bit tough.

recently we did a little impro RAG 365 gravel ride!

inspired by the so called seven graz summits, a collection of six hills and one mountain around graz,

we decided to climb all seven in one afternoon.

starting with the lustbühel observatory (as hill no1; and about 100m of elevation) we headed west to straßgang along the backside of the cemetery up to the kronprinz-rudolf-warte on buchkogel (2; 300m)

followed closely by the small chapel of st. johann und paul (3; 10m).

climbing up to fürstenstand on the plabutsch hill (4; 260m) we passed the famous graffiti decorated lüftungsschacht. the way down to schloß gösting was first dusty and then fast!

after a feed stop we left andritz via annagraben to start the only real climb of the day up to

almost world famous schöckl (5; 1000m) on a very delicious route via hohenberg. via schöckl maut and rinnegg we attacked the platte to visit stephanienwarte (6; 200m). in the fading daylight we approached

hill nr. 7 - the one and only schloßberg graz.

but not the uhrturm, and not the glockenturm awaited us in the darkness as a last stamp station at the very top,

but a grim lion ! (hackher löwe; 110m)

the wider was our tired and dirty smile!

after about 105k and 2.500m upwards.
